Of course I was serious! Did you think I would joke about such a thing? Luckily it was only about a 45–60 minute drive from my apartment. The thing about llama races is that the llamas only go as fast as their handlers—they should really be called llama handler races. The llamas are kind of just along for the ride. Still, it was something to see! There were some alpacas there too (not racing, just observing), and any day in which you see an alpaca, is a good day in my book!
